Publications Chair
- Primary Purpose: The Publications Chair is responsible to coordinate the publication of the FLASPAN newsletter and website to assure that all FLASPAN publications reflect the philosophy and desired image of the organization.
- Prerequisites:
- Active ASPAN/FLASPAN membership for a minimum of one year
- Experience as Committee member, Editor, Web Master or Representative
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with publication/website activities through education, employment or other professional organization involvement.
- Appointment: Appointed by FLASPAN President, approved by the Board of Directors
- Term of Service: One year; may be reappointed for consecutive terms
- Voting BOD Member: No
- Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend FLASPAN Board of Directors Meetings
- Acts as a resource to Editors:
- FLASPAN Website
- Other publications, including but not limited to:
- Promotional / informational brochures
- Resource manuals
- Directory
- Review all publications prior to final printing/posting
- Track all publications for progress in development and need for revision
- Investigate feasibility for new publications that will meet an identified need
- Network with FLASPAN Committee Chairs/Directors to provide publication or editing support for committee work
- Responsible for special correspondence.
- Develop election survey for distribution to members via online survey site.
- Review other publications as requested
- Work with National Office to publish press releases to promote ASPAN
- Maintain FLASPAN website
- Communicate information on website on a monthly basis, or as needed
- Report information from BOD meetings, District reports, and national, state and local venues
